Overview: After a demon is unleashed on Belize, known as the "Terror of the Islands" throughout the area, she falls into the sea. When she does not rise back to the surface of the water, all presume she has finally been killed. Years later, a woman named Anna is on her way to join up with her fiancé, a wealthy noble and member of the military. Before they can arrive, the vessel is caught in a freak storm, damaged beyond salvage, and then spotted by Black William, a cold and sadistic pirate with absolutely no moral compass to guide him. Anna is brought on board, abused, and left for dead. Dead she wasn’t and once she has had her revenge she is reunited with members of her old crew, and once more hailed as Belize, Captain of "The Raven."
In this collection of three tales, the first is Belize and her hard journey back to her former position as the Captain of "The Raven." Since her crew is made up of all Islanders, she has the nickname of the "Terror of the Islands." This story contains extreme violence, rape, and revenge.
The second story tells the fate of Belize as she comes face to face with one of the oldest of the undead still roaming the world, resulting in sex, violence, and mayhem. Ir is only by reliving a memory of her childhood that she is able to escape the Vampire and then take care of things her way.
In the last story, Belize is seeking a gem of unequalled value in a Temple of Set, guarded by both physical and spiritual monsters. She is aided by a thrall of the temple, a young woman who was caught out on the streets after dark, and about to be brutalized by three local men. Inside the Temple, Belize and part of her crew battle monsters they thought only children’s tales, and barely make it out of the Temple alive.
These stories are set in Robert E. Howard’s "Hyborean Age" and include numerous aspects of that time and world, but are not Conan stories. Belize is not associated with him, and Conan does not appear in any of the tales.
Belize, she’s not your typical Harlequin pirate.
