Overview: Sharon Maria Bidwell was born one New Year’s Eve within the London area. Since having her first short story accepted and the editor announcing her as “a writer who is going places,” her work — poems, short stories and articles — have appeared steadily in print and online publications.
Previously, she kept the erotic side of her writing separate. The genre appealed though as it allows her the freedom to create something more expressive, less oppressive. She firmly believes that having a chance at such “free reign” reflects favourably in her work. It has always been a part of her personality in that she likes surprising and delighting people. She links her most favoured and often most successful work closely to fantasy, though her writing crosses genres.
Genre: Erotic Fantasy Romance MM

Uly’s Comet #1: Markis Shavar, the Swithin Prince, controls the power of the Comet. His power may be the only thing that can stop a war between two vast monarchies. A war that could devastate the world. If that weren’t pressure enough, he may also have to rescue a princess and face a marriage of convenience. And it sure as hell doesn’t help that Markis can barely control the power when he calls it forth. Traditional methods – including celibacy, aren’t working and he is running out of time.
His personal guard and best friend, Ryanac, insists that Markis should embrace love, both emotionally and physically, to control the Comet. He’d really like for Markis to embrace him. It’s entirely possibly Ryanac is correct…but if he’s wrong, it could destroy them.
When Markis leaves the palace one night to indulge in the luxury of a little solitude, he captures Uly, a would-be thief. Out of boredom, he decides to play a little game with the street rat, but Uly has other ideas. He plans to teach the prince a lesson in desire … and love.
If a street thief can teach a prince to gain control by losing it, love may truly conquer all.

The Comet’s Tail #2:) Markis Shavar, the Swithin Prince, has everything he ever thought he could want. He has Uly Samir — his true love — and he has found happiness again in the arms of Ryanac, his personal guard and best friend. He has Tressa, a woman any man would be proud to have as bride. He’s also gained some control over the powerful comet. He should be happy.
Uly has the heart of a wonderful man. Markis loves him. He has much to look forward to and more than he ever dreamed of obtaining. He should be in high spirits.
Ryanac has succeeded in convincing Markis to embrace love and, as he always believed, it has freed him from abject misery. It has also rekindled their relationship. He should be contented.
Tressa has a good man for a husband, three men to see to her considerable sexual needs and she has escaped the backward views of her own nation. She should be elated.
The four of them have a tedious two-week journey to undertake. What else should they fill these boring nights with but passion? They should be ecstatic … if a little exhausted.
Too bad their sleeping arrangements aren’t their worst problem…

The Comet Cometh #3: Now the Swithin king, Markis has the loves of his life at his side. It’s the perfect sandwich but for some reason he’s feeling the squeeze. Ryanac and Uly have yet to trust each other entirely. Until they do, they’ll never be complete. There’s also someone out there prepared to kill Uly. For safety, Uly is a prisoner in the palace but that’s no life for someone who once roamed the streets.
Then there’s Tressa, his wife, who isn’t acting at all queenly. She’s trying to overcome her restrictive upbringing while looking for something softer, more feminine. Not that he minds — it’s even a relief — but life is complicated enough. Maybe a few toys will help.
He has to keep them happy and safe, stand helplessly by waiting while Ryanac and Uly try to form a lasting relationship, locate their enemies, and all this while ruling a kingdom and the comet. Even now, he’s unaware just how much power the comet holds but someone is trying to take those he loves away from him and soon everyone is going to find out just how destructive a comet can be, particularly when it’s angry… but especially when it’s in love.

(Swithin Chronicles Interlude) At What Moment: Markis is drawn to seek out a moment of Uly’s company before his time of training is to begin. He finds Uly in the garden reading a book of fiction. As the discuss the story Markis tries to explain the metaphorical essence of the story and both of them are drawn into an emotional moment.
I don’t think I have ever read an interlude and originally thought the idea to be ridiculous, however, it was a very poignant moment for Markis and Uly. I am not sure if it would have fit into the actually book as the drama progress in Uly’s comet would have been upset buy this understanding. It is a great addition, however, and I enjoyed it a lot. I am looking forward to the second book in the Swithin Chronicles.
