My dad gives me the support of the best supernatural agents around. The same group he has prevented me from joining. That sounds great until I quickly discover the ancient magical power behind everything is virtually unstoppable.
I would love to take down the death-dealing villain. It would prove that I’ve always been worthy of being an agent, but my reckless vampire partner or backstabbing family will probably get me killed first.
I should probably focus on the cold case, which would keep me out of direct danger since my battle powers are pretty weak.

2. Demi-Fae Rising – Ding. Dong. The Seelie Duke is dead.
His body was found in the backyard of a U.S. Senator, which means the FBI is involved. The killer leaves no trace of evidence, leading me to believe the suspect used magic. The FBI won’t let us take the body.
My vampire partner suggests we only have one card to play. Steal the dead faerie from the morgue so we can figure out the cause of death.

I hope we solve the murder quickly because I may or may not have, but definitely did, start a vampire war in Pittsburgh.
