#2 – The Stars Like Fire…
Seth Gingko is a MacCollie Survey-Scout. Sent to the edge of the galaxy, he is promised ownership of his ship as payment for completion of his contract. Before he can win his prize, he encounters two alien races, one of whom is taking over huge sections of the galaxy at an alarming rate. Armed with crucial intelligence, he races toward earth to help with the fight. Then he remembers he is going to arrive before his messages of contract completion do. To the MacCollie Corporation, he’s in breach of contract.
Not only that, after spending five years on his solo flight, Seth soon finds he has inherited a crew member. He’s instantly put off-guard; she’s a woman, and to make matters worse, she’s British, with an accent! Seth’s not sure to be intrigued or annoyed, or maybe a mixture of both.

It has been souped up by plant hybrid cyborg aliens. It is invaluable to Seth’s old employers, the MacCollie Company, and to humanity as a whole. But Seth has a problem. Through a technicality, he’s out of contract, and he’s stolen the ship. He’s up against some harsh charges, but he knows he has get back to Earth with the information he’s gained… whatever the cost
The news that aliens are invading the galaxy. And there Seth yet has another problem. In their expansion of the Fellowship of planets, the human race so far have not yet met any alien life in the galaxy.
How is Seth going to explain his way out of that one? Simple.
He’ll bring living samples home…
And that’s where Seth’s problems start.

Seth Gingko has the fastest human-owned ship in the home galaxy, pimped/souped up by plant hybrid cyborg aliens. He now has indisputable evidence the galaxy is being invaded by aliens. He’s tried to tell the Earth-based Fellowship and the large MacCollie Corporation of his fears, but it seems they might be in league with the aliens.
For a reason unknown to Seth, the Government are keeping the alien’s existence secret from the Fellowship’s population. So now Seth has just one mission. He has to inform humanity of the existence of aliens… even if it means an inter-planetary war.
He needs more men, more ships. But that’s not an easy task when somewhere in his little cadre… there’s a traitor…dropping breadcrumbs… and that’s never good.
