Overview: Spike escaped from the cartel and climbed out of a tunnel in New Mexico. They want what he took, and they want him dead. They aren’t the only people, either. Being on the run doesn’t curb his need to kill or gravitate toward adventure.
Anyone who knows him, would say he’s a nice guy, smart, charming, always willing to help others. He’s a successful businessman, good-looking, in shape, and always ready with a compliment.
But he has a compulsion to kill. As a self-aware psychopath, he has found God intellectually. This has pushed him into trying to please God and cover his bases for the afterlife. Spike plans to avoid killing innocents. There are plenty who deserve to die.
Stumbling into a back ops mission, he is overwhelmed with the excitement of sectioned killing and the risk of dying. He wants more of that.
Spike is a complex character who drives toward his goal with a twisty, action-filled journey—
a story filled with interesting and colorful characters culminating in an unexpected but satisfying ending.
