SpaceFed StarShips series (#4-6) by Gerry A. Saunders
Requirements: ePUB / MOBI Reader, 2.8MB
Overview: I started writing my first book, a science-fiction novel, some years ago. But fate then conspired to point me in a different direction. Although my career in electronic design was both exciting and fulfilling, especially with the fast moving pace of the technology employed. I never lost my love of space, or of the possibility of man one day travelling in space and colonising planets.

#4 – Death of Time
This edition of Death of Time is my fourth book in what has now become my SpaceFed StarShips Series and links with events in Book three. It is an exciting follow-on sci-fi detective story. With plenty of action and intrigue.

However, Death of Time is not a prequel. It merely continues the storyline from Book 3 in the Trilogy. With changing Timelines, that will leave you wondering what will actually happen in the future.

Earth 2033 and the world is starting a downward trend into chaos. With struggling economies. A rash of mini-conflicts, greed and social unrest on a global scale, which allows corrupt societies to flourish virtually unchecked.

A series of motiveless murders, seemingly unconnected, mystify police forces across many countries. The Police, and other law enforcement agencies who have been working with them, are completely baffled. Then, when investigations into what have now become seven killings to date have ground to a halt. SEID operative Mickey Sanderson has finally been co-opted to assist.

Micky had joined SEID three years earlier, after being fast-tracked for the position. Although he has only been with the division for a relatively short time, he is nevertheless unique, as he has talents that would place him as an outcast if the public knew of them. However, Micky has a form of amnesia and can only clearly remember things from the last five years. However, on more than one occasion, he has experienced dream-like episodes that give him glimpses of things that may have happened in the past, or might in the future. This worries him.

Micky is set to work with a female plain-clothes operative from the UK Police force. Later, they find out there is a connection between some of the murders. Three of the victims were just small fry in the scheme of things. However, the other four could be significant.

Micky Sanderson is special. He’s not exactly sure what he is? But one thing that Micky is sure of, he’s Telepathic and has Psychic powers. But he knows that someone is playing him like a puppet. Someone who has his abilities, but is technologically, much more advanced.

However, Micky soon finds that he has become a target himself when he realizes that someone or something has scanned him. This shocks him, knowing that he is not the only one with this special ability, and he has no idea where the scan came from. Now, he needs to use all of his abilities to just stay alive, let alone solve the murders, and the mystery surrounding the eventual aim of the killer. Somehow, Mickey has to out-play him. There must be an end goal, he thinks. But, what?

In this action-packed story, we see increasing tensions, with devastating consequences as the assassin gets closer to his achieving his goal.

Micky has a plan. A dangerous one. However, if it fails, then most of Pennsylvania and New York State would be covered by radioactive ash and see the area abandoned for thousands of years.
In the twists and turns of this book. The expected becomes the unexpected, and the unexpected starts to frighten Micky, with the thought of what he might find. Has it all been for nothing?

If Micky fails, will he be the one to set in motion a series of events that will change the future’s Timeline, and destroy humanity’s destiny?

#5 – Acarea: A Triumph or Disaster?
In my last book, Death of Time. Axon, who was part Crillon and part Human, had come from the distant future to the year, 2033. He had always felt more Crillon than human and was hell bent on stopping the Acarea Project, in an attempt to save his own species in the future.

His brother Micky, having always believed that he was human, discovered what Axon was trying to do and followed him back later. Micky was on a mission to prevent Axon from wrecking the project. And, to ensure that the settler starship was launched on the correct date.

Micky appears to have succeeded. But has he set in motion a series of events that will destroy Acarea’s chances of success, and irrevocably change the future?

Now, fifty-two years later.

The descendants of Micky and Charlie’s children struggle to survive in a world that is falling into chaos. Their aim is to fulfil the promises their ancestors made, in making sure that some of them join the Starship Acarea.

The ship is scheduled to be launched within fourteen years and will take humanity on its first grand adventure to the Stars. Its aim, to seek out a planet fit for colonisation.

But there is a network of men and women, who earn vast sums of money by rubbing out other people, just to keep influential individuals in power. This network of killers belongs to an Assassination Guild. The guild is so uncontrollable that it not only threatens the setting up of the Earth Federation but also the very existence of the Acarea Project.

Thousands of people, all desperate to leave Earth and all its chaos behind, try to book their place on the Acarea. The tragedies and deceit that unfold, jeopardises the Starship’s ‘official launch’ on April the 7th, 2109.

Will Micky’s attempt to change the launch date succeed? Even if it does and the Acarea manages to start her voyage. Will she fall apart under the strain as her engine’s nuclear-charges detonate behind her, violently pushing her forward?

Let alone, the uncertainty of actually reaching the star system, whose position will be changing all the time that the Acarea travels towards it.

Will attempts at sabotage, and other unforeseen twists and turns, make the Acarea’s quest for the Stars more dangerous than its crew could ever have imagined? Is it all too much of a gamble for the human race?

If the project fails, then, will this mean the end of their deep space exploration programme?

Something is monitoring the Acarea’s attempt to launch. Something dangerous, something that doesn’t want to be seen.

#6 – The Garoden War
My 6th book in the series brings the whole of the SpaceFed saga together. With changing timelines culminating in ‘The Garoden War.’ A titanic war for survival that spreads throughout our Galaxy.

It had been eight years, since the ferocious battle with an alien species called the Crillons took place around the planet DPav4 in the Delta Pavonis star system. Life had been hard then for the Pavonisiens, who were descendants of the Starship Acarea’s crew. Since then, the Crillons had stopped their warring ways. And, together with the Solverons, were allied with the Earth Federation.

By 2309, all three species were working well together. With StarShips and trading vessels regularly plying their goods between Earth, DPav4, Crilla, and Solvera, the Solveron’s home planet. It was a truly magical time.

Delta Pavonis, 2311.

Then, another alien species is detected as it enters the Pavonis system. The species is unknown but is undeniably superior, and like the Crillons had been, is out to destroy all life forms.

At first, the Space Federation believes that the Andromeda7 is better suited to lead the latest SpaceFed Starships. As, Crilla, Solvera, and Earth, enter into a war against the species they now know to be Garodens.

However, they soon find out that the Garoden Star Destroyers are far superior to any of their ships.
It is only then that the Earth Federation finally realize that it has no other option except to commit to a fully operational Space Navy. Thereby, authorizing the new Navy to commandeer the Space Federation’s Capital StarShips and to conduct the war against this new Enemy.

Now, the Garoden fleet engages the new Earth’s Space Navy, and the Crillon’s Fleet 5. However, the devastation inflicted on the Allied ships causes them all to realize that the odds are stacked against them, and as the war continues to escalate, it is rapidly turning into a battle for their survival.
