Scout Pilot Of the Free Union (#1)
Captain Frank Eric Russell is captain/pilot of a Valhalla Class Star Destroyer – until there is an embarrassing incident during a diplomatic mission to the border with the Imperium. Disciplined by being transferred to the Reconnaissance Unit of The Free Union’s Star Fleet, he finds himself assigned to an outdated Speedbird Scoutship. The missions are less prestigious, less rigorously overseen – and a lot less safe.

Threats, terror and mortal danger lurk behind every planet and asteroid as Frank tries to survive the life of a Reconnaissance Unit Scout Pilot patrolling the barely defined border between The Free Union and the Imperium during the uneasy truce between the two Galactic Powers.

Frank and his ageing Speedbird are sent on a number of perilous missions around the galaxy, both for the mysterious Colonel Rosto and on normal Space Corps business. On the way he meets a new sentient species, a terrifying space spider, finds himself involved in a deal for new spaceships that goes horribly wrong and finally has to escape the clutches of The Imperium’s Chief Enforcer, the feared Colonel Starker, before becoming involved in a battle as the rivals for domination of the galaxy clash in space.

With everything against him, can Frank and his trusty Speedbird live to run away another day?

Infinity Is For Losers (#2)
Life as a space scout pilot for The Free Union can be quite varied. One minute you have parked your space ship on a tropical beach, dipping your toes in the sea and contemplating a long, cool, drink: and the next you are flying for your life as the Imperium’s pursuit ships close in behind your aging Speedbird scout ship – and their shooting is far too accurate for comfort.

Captain Frank Eric Russell is in more trouble. The Free Union has managed to mislay a whole squadron of badly needed new scout ships, and guess who is being sent out to find them? From Deep Space to Cosmic Zoological Gardens, through interstellar scrap yards and tropical paradises, Frank follows the clues that might – just might – lead him to the missing Viper class space scouts.

Fame and fortune – or more realistically a small pay rise – are his promised rewards, while notoriety and becoming a dreadful warning to the whole Galaxy of the penalty for crossing the dreaded Colonel Starker of the Imperium’s Black Ops await his failure.

Rogue Pilot (#3)
Frank Eric Russell was a Captain in The Free Union’s Space Corps, until a series of unfortunate events left him disgraced, dismissed and disgruntled. Now a renegade in an outdated scoutship, he makes a living on the margins of the galaxy in any way he can.

But Frank’s past is catching up with him. The Chief Enforcer of the decaying Galactic Empire, the fearsome Colonel Starker, wants to make Frank a horrible example to the rest of the galaxy of the penalties of crossing his path. The Followers of The Mad God Zog are not pleased by the damage to their holy space station that Frank caused when he escaped from their indoctrination program in a previous novel and want their revenge; and worst of all his old boss wants him back – to carry out some more life-threatening missions for him.

As he flies his elderly Speedbird across the less reputable parts of the galaxy, Frank finds himself living in interesting times…

Interstellar Mercenary (#4)
For Frank Eric Russell, disgraced ex captain in The Free Union’s Space Corps, the offer of a job training pilots in combat techniques for a space going city in need of some protection from its commercial competitors seems like a chance to get his career progression moving forward. But life never works out for Frank, and before long he is in deep trouble.

The pilots he is training are rebellious, his boss wants to sell him to the highest bidder for the ransom money, and the local politicians only stop plotting against each other to plot against him.

If that wasn’t bad enough, spies, pirates and the most feared man in the whole Galaxy would like to hire his services – or have him killed. The life of an Interstellar Mercenary is full of interest and excitement, if not the promised riches and rewards.

Galactic Fugitive (#5)
The Galaxy is full of many perils. Being hired to protect the son of the Galaxy’s richest man offers an unrivalled opportunity to experience them first hand, especially when the son is an inveterate high stakes gambler in low-life drinking dens. Being wanted by the Imperium’s chief enforcer so badly that the reward has attracted every bounty hunter in the universe is an added complication.

Disgraced ex-military pilot Frank Eric Russell finds himself responsible for rescuing a delinquent young adult, assisting the escape of a beautiful – if deadly – gangster as he flees across the Galaxy with a horde of motivated Law Enforcement agents, spies, and a posse of enthusiastic bounty hunters on his heels.
