Overview: I’m a Southern writer from the Birmingham, Alabama area. I’m married, have 2 stepkids, and a lazy ol’ dog (the very reason I picked him at the shelter.) I guess people would say I’m living the dream, and I probably couldn’t argue. I’m pretty blessed. When I’m not writing, I am reading, listening to good music. 1. Like A Fox On The Run

Tiger Thomas was a rocket pilot during the Great Space Rush, when humankind colonized the Solar System in the twenty-second century. Now, all that’s winding down, and so has the demand for old spacers like him. He makes a living now doing whatever jobs he can find, legal and otherwise.
Returning to his hometown of Huntsville, Tiger looks forward to a relaxing weekend back on Earth. Who knows, he might even re-kindle that old flame with Lulah Carter, "the one that got away" years ago. A dinner and dancing … who knows what might happen. But when he rescues a genetically engineered, anthropomorphic fox girl from a clan of vicious, hillbilly thugs, his homecoming quickly turns sour.
Somebody wants this sexy, furry darling back. BAD! And they’ll do whatever it takes, including killing anyone who stands in their way. Tiger and newfound companion soon find themselves on the run from a deadly, high-tech unit of bounty hunters. And if that ain’t bad enough, revelations about this beautiful vixen starts to disturb him. Is she really a victim? Is there more to her than just a pretty face and a bushy tail? Is there something else? A part hidden and dangerous, waiting for the right time to manifest itself? And with all that to ponder on, there’s also one other small problem … he finds himself irresistibly attracted to her. Oh, and then there’s that whole Lulah thing again. As if things weren’t complicated enough. Well, so much for a relaxing weekend.
2. Rocket City Blues
There’s always a morning after …
When we last saw spacer Tiger Thomas and the anthropomorphic vixen, Amber, they’d found shelter at the home of Tiger’s old flame, Lulah Carter. But dawn has come, and none of their troubles have disappeared. They’re still fugitives on the run, wanted by the law, a family of vengeance-seeking backwoods criminals and worst of all, a relentless bounty hunter, who’s made this all personal.
Tiger knows their only chance is to get out of Huntsville and disappear into the endless black void of space. Unfortunately, his spaceship has been impounded, his trusty Pegasus rocket truck crashed, and it’s only a matter of time before his enemies figure out Lulah was once his lover, putting her and her family in mortal danger.
With time and options running out, Tiger desperately gambles on a far-fetched plan of escape that may be more dangerous than anything he’s faced so far. Around him, the Rocket City is exploding as his adversaries, old and new, driven by greed, revenge and brutality, will stop at nothing to get what they want.
