Solrelm Series (1-2) by J. Risk
Requirements: ePUB / MOBI Reader, 2.0MB | Retail
Overview: J. Risk is a pseudonym used by Jacqueline Paige

I wanted to write a story that would fit into new adult levels as well as adult. Something that was serious with fun elements–paranormal / fantasy that everyone could read and enjoy.

I’ve decided to use J. Risk as the pen name for this to separate this series from my other writing which is definitely adult reading material.

Jacqueline Paige lives in Ontario in a small town that’s part of the popular Georgian Triangle area.

She began her writing career in 2006 and since her first published works in 2009 she hasn’t stopped. Jacqueline describes her writing as all things paranormal, which she has proven is her niche with stories of witches, ghosts, physics and shifters now on the shelves.

When Jacqueline isn’t lost in her writing, she spends time with her five children, most of whom are finally able to look after her instead of the other way around. Together they do random road trips, that usually end up with them lost, shopping trips where they push every button in the toy aisle, hiking when there’s enough time to escape and bizarre things like creating new daring recipes in the kitchen. She’s a grandmother to six (so far) and looks forward to corrupting many more in the years to come.

#1 – Concealed
A centuries-old prince in his realm meant one thing to Bastian—boredom. The tedious, bland life of royalty came with unending rules that he was supposed to abide by. He wasn’t big on following rules, guidelines, or even strong suggestions that were for his own good.

Despite being told he should only be in the human realm to collect souls, he wasn’t able to stay away. Humans fascinated him, he couldn’t get enough of watching the things they did. If he hadn’t ignored the monotonous reminders from his two elder brothers about the other realm, he wouldn’t have stumbled on the massive deceptions that had been hidden from him and his people for so long. If it took him until his last breath was drawn and his time expired, he was going to resolve the atrocities that had been done to his realm and the conspiracies that tormented all of the realms.

To the absolute delight of his rebellious side, not only did he find the impossible, but he found her. the woman whose soul had been evading him through the centuries.

Nova didn’t know why she was different, or how she ended up safeguarding a soul that seemed to never be reborn but instead lived on from body to body, but she did know that she was going to find the answers. No matter what it took. She had endless journals from the previous bodies that this soul lived in, and she knew they held clues and she was determined to figure them out. She was tired of hiding and not knowing why she had to. This body planned to find all the answers—just as soon as she figured out why a man that never aged was mentioned in the diaries kept appearing and why she was warned to avoid him.

#2 – Unveiled
Abe’s father and siblings had no idea what they were and spent centuries trying to stay invisible while they searched for answers. Over two hundred years later, they find out they are part of a royal family from another realm. Another realm, one of six that no one knows exists.

Now that he’s there, a different world is not even the strangest thing in his life—witches, Mages, and other abilities he would never have thought of is now part of his everyday life. Despite being uncomfortable with that, Abe agrees to help his newfound family clean up the mess caused centuries earlier.

In assisting his family with their tasks, Abe hopes that somewhere along the way, he’ll find more answers about the images in his head that are older than he is—he’s almost certain they are the prehistoric kind of older. What does that make him? Why is it him and not his family?

Liri was anything but a compliant, agreeable woman. Trapped in Solrelm for decades, she doesn’t hesitate when there’s a chance to go to other realms and help find traitors that duped her own people into believing lies that were slowly causing her race to become extinct. If that had happened, human souls would have been lost forever, and their existence would dwindle until there were no more.

While avoiding her parents and what is expected of her in Solrelm, she finds her place with the Alterealm royals, working hard to find those responsible for the lies and the larger scheme that would have ended more than one race. When she finds out about the abandoned women and children, because of the lies, she decides to make it her mission to find them and help them, no matter the cost or what her family expects of her.
