In 1991 he and his college roommate at the University of Texas began working together as a writing/directing/producing team. Their first film “Thursday,” was released in 1997, but it was their next film, “Swordfish,” starring John Travolta, Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry that really launched their screenwriting careers. Over the next fifteen years they collaborated on over thirty movies including “Hitman,” “The A-Team” and “A Good Day to Die Hard.” Currently residing in sleepy Redondo Beach, California, Warren is shifting his focus from screenplays to novels with “Positive I.D.”, the first TV series designed to be read, rather than watched.
