Overview: J. Alexander Black was born in Surrey, England in 1949. After a short stay with the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy, he immigrated to the USA in 1971. He enlisted in the US Military and ended up as a Navy Corpsman serving aboard several ships and hospitals including a tour with the Marines in Desert Storm. Retiring from the service, he moved to Maine where he became a Public Health Educator for the State. After a highly active working life he found retirement less than fulfilling. His wife suggested that "Everyone has at least one book in them. Go find yours." His first book Sleeper: Defending Earth presents his unique perspective on mans encounter with our alien ancestors. He lives with his wife Karen in Boothbay, Maine.

#1 – Defending Earth

#2 – Altis-5
This is the continuing story of Ray Wright, the Hevinian sleeper, quietly monitoring Earth and its progress who is thrust into the limelight when Earth is attacked by a fleet of Kaedian invaders.
The Battle for Earth was won but the war is not over. The invading Kaedian armada is limping back to its home planet defeated, humiliated and seething with anger, vowing to return and destroy Earth.
With the immediate threat removed, Earth’s leaders must now deal with a dying planet. The only possible solution is to reduce the population by one third. Earth welcomes the Hevinian fleet complete with its massive transports and prepares to make the greatest migration known to man.
