Overview: Dive into the apocalypse with an unlikely trio of characters

Teen Liam is forced to spend the summer with his great-grandmother, but that’s the least of his problems once zombies go forth and multiply. He heads out the door with his enigmatic caretaker and embarks on a journey to rejoin his family. Liam uses lessons drawn from all the zombie books he’s read, but nothing could prepare him for the sacrifices he’ll be forced to make as society crumbles around him.

Once Liam, Grandma Marty, and a lost girl named Victoria get together, they begin a unique journey that will take them across the dying city, the burning suburbs, and into the zombie-filled lair of the agents behind the plague. Along the way they’ll find there are many kinds of zombies, survivors with no clue what comes next, and enemies with an eye on the oldest surviving woman in the region—a certain great-grandmother who may have an inside track on the cure.

#1 – Since the Sirens
Life is hard enough at fifteen…

Banished by bad decisions to spend the summer with his great-grandmother, Liam Peters thinks his life is over. After all, Marty Peters is a tough woman to be around. Maybe she wouldn’t be so bad if she’d just take an interest in the modern technology he loves. Sure, she has some insight to her…but the woman is practically “pushing daisies.” Not surprisingly, as tornado sirens announce a city-wide emergency, Liam discovers why that term should be avoided…well…like the plague.

When Grandma Marty tries to send him on his way, refusing to abandon her home, Liam sees his situation in a new light. Something deep inside awakens—and he chafes at the thought of leaving his 104-year-old grandmother to die. Armed with two tiny pistols and an arsenal of knowledge from his overwhelming zombie book collection, Liam realizes he could be the hero and accomplish the impossible: rescue her.

With the interstate gridlocked, opportunist criminals looking to take what they can get, law enforcement desperate to keep the peace, and the military declaring St. Louis a war-zone, Liam and Marty find themselves wrapped up in a world of chaos and panic. But when the zombies begin to overshadow everything else, Liam comes to appreciate why there are no atheists in foxholes.

#2 – Siren Songs
Safety in the suburbs? Not in this Apocalypse.

Fifteen-year-old Liam Peters successfully rescued his 104-year-old great-grandmother from the worst of the Zombie Apocalypse in the urban chaos. They’re finally in the suburbs, ready to enjoy the safety and calm they’ve sought. All he has to do is get Grandma Marty to his parents and he’ll be free of the burden of caring for her.

As a voracious reader of zombie books, Liam knows nothing is ever as simple as it seems during the Zombie Apocalypse. While they race for his suburban home, the swelling zombie horde catches up and ensures there’s no peace or security for anyone. Liam’s entanglement with a military convoy sets events in motion which reveal the presence of a strange research facility, a refuge filled with Boy Scouts, and the first hint of a cure to the Ebola Squared zombie virus.

He endures many challenges in the hills and forests outside the sprawl, and learns someone is chewing up test subjects in their quest for that cure. Only when he stumbles upon a mass grave does he finally see the direct threat to his grandma.

#3 – Stop the Sirens
What if the elderly held the cure?

Fifteen-year-old Liam Peters starts his day in a muddy creek. The Air Force tried to wipe his subdivision off the map, but luck and fast feet helped him find refuge from the big bombs. When he looks up, he sees his whole life has been swept away by fire. And Grandma? He’d been successful getting her out of the city, and across suburbia, but she was snatched from him minutes ago. She’d gotten a one-way ticket to a secretive facility only admitting elderly survivors.

As a studious reader of zombie literature, Liam knows the dangers of being without shelter or direction during the zombie plague. He’d already been attacked by angry looters, malicious refugees, and hordes of zombies. His house had been riddled by a chain gun–twice–before the final bombs fell. He tries to look ahead, but sees little hope. He is bolstered by his new girlfriend, Victoria, but without Grandma he feels defeated.

And yet, hope is out there. People are coming together to survive and help each other. One such group is at the Beaumont Boy Scout Reservation. It’s an enclave of peace within the swirl of zombies and death engulfing all of metropolitan St. Louis. There, Liam and his family might find a base from which to search for Grandma Marty.

Before book 3 concludes, Liam will learn the origin of the plague, the fate of Grandma, and whether a couple of teenagers can “get involved” in the battle for a cure while in a world filled with zombies.
