Overview: Amanda, a young lady who lives with her Aunty and works at the local market, is going to start community college in the fall. She is suddenly thrust into a journey through space and time on a quest to stop a volcano from destroying her rural community. During her travels, Amanda finds herself in some unlikely situations. She meets some highly unethical space and time jumping miscreants. She inadvertently creates an electromagnetic pulse which knocks out the local power. She encounters a civilization of space faring barbarians who dress like Vikings. She travels to a ring world geo-engineered and maintained by its inhabitants. She meets an inhabitant of the ring world who is also a young lady, Phoebe, a garden worker.
