Overview: Joe Gibson, was a writer of short science fiction, primarily for the pulps in the ’40s and ’50s. He was also an active fan. In the ’40s, he created a hoax sister, Jay Gibson, who, among other things, published snapzines.
In the mid-’50s Gibson married Roberta Collins, and in the early ’60s they published G2. Gibson also was responsible for the fan-based aviation fanzine, The Damned Patrol.
