Overview: DB King’s stories feature competent main characters, magic and skill progression, and nothing too dark. While he doesn’t shy away from violence, he mostly avoids cursing and doesn’t have any adult scenes. Most of his stories aren’t strictly Gamelit/LitRPG, but a lot of his magic and progression systems often feel like something you might find in a video game.

Andy Knight is working a dead-end job in a convenience store when he’s transported to a fantasy world. He is taken in by a master shinobi and soon discovers his magical abilities: he can communicate and harness the strengths of beasts. This power is forbidden in the world of Nobu-Teng, and to make matters worse, Andy is an outsider. Using this power will make for him no end of enemies, but it might be the one thing that helps him become something he’s always dreamt of: a shinobi.

The world of Earth is gone for Andy. Now, he knows only Nobu-Teng. The world of shinobi and samurai is his new home, but there is something that threatens the new life he hopes to build. An assassin. And Andy knows her identity, but he needs proof. In order to stop the assassin, he’ll need to progress further than ever before in the art of the shinobi and in the magic of the beast shamans.
