The Grave of Truth aka The Janus Imperative / Codeword Janus
Max has been having the same dream ever since the end of the war. The horrifying final moments in the Führer’s Bunker, the brutal beating, the dying man—and his last desperate words.
Years later Max hears the same words on the lips of another dying man, and finds himself caught in a chilling search for Hitler’s last legacy—the Führer’s final evil bequest. The dream is no longer a dream but a nightmare, and Max must try to live through it. . . .
The Heiress
A historical novel set in revolutionary France, about a man who is badly in debt and must marry his wealthy cousin to escape the Bastille. His possessive mistress, however, has other plans.
The Legacy
When Christina Nordohl met the wealthy English widower, Richard Farrigton, in Stockholm, it was an encounter that changed her life. Richard, after the suicide of his drug-addicted wife, had left his turbulent, hate-filled elder son, and the subservient younger one, and gone on a cruise round Scandinavia. There he fell in love with Christina and she returned to England with him as his wife.
Twelve years later he died, leaving Christina and her young daughter the legacy of a great house, land, money and a priceless Hebrew manuscript–and also leaving his vindictive son, Alan, who vows to break the will that has disinherited him. Among the lawyers engaged to defend Christina is a fellow Swede, Rolf Wallberg, a cold and sinister man who exerts an unwanted sexual attraction over the young widow. But is Rolf really fighting for her, or has he a different agenda? And how can her stepson boast he has discovered something that will destroy her and his little half-sister?
The battle is not about greed, but about hate and revenge. It is overshadowed by a terrible war crime and a search for the priceless document Richard Farrington discovered in Stockholm. The key to the mystery lies with the second stepson, the ambivalent, untrustworthy James, and the denouement is brutal and decides whether Christina and Rolf can ever be together.
The Legend
Peter Arundsen is bored with his conventional wife and his respectable job in the city. He hankers after the dangerous days as a spy with SIS, and cherishes his contact with other disbanded members of ‘The Firm’ at regular weekend parties, hosted by their old chief, Phillip Wetherby. But this time the party is overshadowed by news that one of the party has defected. Initially, Arundsen resists Wetherby’s request to investigate, but cannot resist his beautiful and mysterious niece.
The Relic
When Yuri Varienski, a Ukranian emigre, died in Jersey, he left his daughter Lucy a bequest and a request. A gold filigree cross set with spinels, to be taken to the former dissident leader Volkov, now exiled in Geneva. But Volkov, broken by imprisonment, is not the man he was, and there are other people with their own urgent reasons to possess the cross. For the legendary relic, St Vladimir’s Cross, has the power to unite or divide the volatile Soviet Union.
Innocently accepting her father’s trust, Lucy could not know she would be sacrificing home, heart – and perhaps even her life…
Valentina
Romance and intrigue in Poland during the Napoleonic Wars.
The Malaspiga Exit aka Mission to Malaspiga
Even if the tongue trips over the title, it’s axiomatic that everyone will ask for the new Evelyn Anthony and this one’s next best to superior — about Katharine Dexter who is recruited — after the heroin O.D. of her brother — to help isolate the source which is in the Italian villa of some distant relatives, a patrician family. Cached in various art works and circulated through various art dealers. Of course Katharine falls in love, as she shouldn’t, with the handsome Alessandro whom she wrongly believes is guiltiest of all. . . . Miss Anthony has godmothered the story with her usual highly successful facility — either way it’s a snow job for the ladies and oh so easy to read.
