Overview: The ultra rich are able to be regenerated in another body after death, thus extinguishing the spirit of the donor body. “Bobbie” chooses the “perfect” person to become. After his regeneration, he cannot stand to stay with his matronly wife and demands she kill herself so she can be regenerated in a new youthful body. She refuses and he goes his own way happily.
He is now Maksym. Maksym is physically perfect and beautiful and others flirt with him shamelessly, both men and women. He is like a God and takes full advantage of his new sexual prowess. Surprisingly, Maksym is quite wealthy. He owns a condo in New York overlooking Central Park, a condo in Vancouver in the Kitsilano neighbourhood and a Hinckley sailboat. He discovers Maksym was an assassin for hire and he tries to take on that role. Unfortunately, the spirit of the original Maksym is quite strong and was not extinguished. The angry spirit of the original Maksym creates unexpected inexplicable disruptions.
An assassin goes wrong, another is messy and a jilted lover is seeking revenge. In the end, Maksym is chased by the mob, the organization who sent him contracts, the police, Interpol, a private investigator, a judge and his maker, Dr. Dingledine. He is isolated, scared and alone. Having everything you always wanted all at once is not as wonderful as expected.
