Overview: De-ann is a bestselling author, screenwriter and former newspaper journalist. Traditionally published for over 15 years. De-ann became an Amazon All-Star author in 2014 and 2015.
She has over 100 books published. Romance, thrillers, espionage novels, action adventure. And children’s books (non-fiction rocket science books, children’s fiction and picture books).
She previously worked as a full-time newspaper journalist for several years. She had her own weekly columns in the press. This included being a motoring correspondent where she got to test drive cars every week for the press for three years.
Before being asked to work for the press, De-ann worked in magazine editorial writing everything from fashion features to social news. And was marketing editor of a glossy magazine.
She is also a professional artist and illustrator. Embroidery design, fabric design, dressmaking, sewing, knitting, photography and fashion are part of her work.

Penny sets up her sewing and mending business in a cosy cottage near a loch in the Scottish Highlands. She’d worked as a designer and pattern cutter for a fashion company in the city, but moved from Glasgow to live in the picturesque niche of cottages and friendly community of shops — including a bakery, grocery shop, tiny post office, quilt shop and crafters, sweet shop and florist.
Having settled in, and joined the crafting bee ladies at the local laird’s castle, Penny meets the laird, Gaven, and he shows an interest in her. But Penny wants to enjoy settling into her lovely cottage, and plans to build up her sewing and creative mending business. She’s skilled at embroidery, quilting, patchwork, darning and appliqué, and uses her stitching techniques to mend rips or worn fabric on jeans, jackets, skirts, dresses, all sorts of items. She makes the repairs design features on the garments — visible mending.
She’s not looking for romance with the rich and handsome laird, or any of the other handsome men in the community. But nothing goes according to plan for Penny, especially when it comes to romance in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.

But Sylvia has a secret musical talent that surprises everyone.
