Bad Bishop (#1)
Hemmed in on all sides…
Jerald and his crew of the Intrepid have been assigned to an inglorious task: guarding a small mining planet in the backwater sector of the Conglomerate. But the disgraceful assignment turns into a curiosity when an alien ship attacks out of nowhere.
Jerald finds himself several moves behind. The fallout leads him and his crew to chase after a scoundrel with a checkered past, form a secret alliance with a rival prince, and enlist the help of a cyborg killing machine who is somehow the most noble among them.
An era of peace has come to an abrupt end. A new game has begun. And the factions of the Conglomerate are pitted against their deadliest enemies: Themselves.
Knight’s Tour (#2)
Nothing stays hidden forever…
The Mesav are up to something. Grakhon ships are fighting alongside their fleet, and so far the Mesav emperor is denying everything. Jerald needs answers and he needs them now. If the Grakhon and Mesav are working together, the Conglomerate will have a bigger mess on their hands than expected.
Prince Ebenar offers to help untangle the web of lies his father has spun, a quest that sends him to the most remote parts of the Conglomerate. Meanwhile, there are rumors of a massive Mesav battlecruiser leaving a trail of destruction in its trek across the Conglomerate.
Uncovering the truth will require making strange allies, facing impossible odds, and opening up old wounds. They will have to come face to face with the horrors in their galaxy. And within themselves.
Poisoned Pawn (#3)
The Conglomerate is at war…
The Ceron fleet is headed to Mesav, prepared for total war. Admiral Gursef’s plan is to bring the fight to them. But Jerald and his crew have to get past the Final Judgement first. Jerald has chosen to stay and fight, to keep the flagship at bay for as long as possible, and buy the fleet some extra time to get off the attack.
Meanwhile, the Grakhon are vultures circling around Kridzen. Getting off the planet and back to Defiant was Abi’s first goal. But now she and the rest of the crew will have to find a way out that doesn’t leave them in more than one piece.
The Conglomerate is at the edge of a cliff. Everything is lost if things go wrong. To save the Conglomerate they’ll have to find a way to trust in the untrustworthy, defeat the invincible, and bring the dead back to life.
The Emperor’s lust for power won’t be extinguished easily. He won’t stop until he has everything he wants. No matter the cost.
Death Simul (#4)
Time is running out…
The war has come to a standstill. Jerald and the rest of the Ceron fleet may have stopped the Emperor for now, but how long can it last?
The rest of the Conglomerate is hurting in the wake of the fighting. Jerald is tasked with helping the struggling colony of Jadarna, who has succumbed to lawlessness in the days since it was nuked. But they aren’t happy to see him when he arrives.
Having been defeated by Ceron, Nebenar has turned his sights toward the rest of the Conglomerate. His thirst for conquest hasn’t gone away. And with Kaaz at his side as his queen, he looks to pick off the weakest of the Conglomerate first.
They will be forced to come face to face with their own inadequacies, risk everything on longshot odds, and stare into the heart of oblivion itself. The clock is ticking.
Rex Solus (#5)
The King alone…
The relic will be his. It is inevitable. Nebenar has come too far to fail at this point, but his purpose for the relic is as mysterious as the prize itself.
But he’s not the only one chasing it down. Paths are converging, and they’re all leading to the same place: Laneth. The derelict planet hides more than just ancient relics. Untold horrors await anyone who would venture into the heart of that abandoned world.
It is a time of haste. Mysteries will be revealed, sons will challenge their fathers, and the treasures of the past will come to rest where they truly belong.
Endgame (#6)
All things come to an end…
The Conglomerate is crumbling. Held together by stitches, it relies on flawed heroes like Jerald to fight off the inevitable. They know now what they should have always known: the Grakhon will leave nothing standing.
Nebenar is amassing a new fleet to assert his dominance, while Jerald and the rest of the Ceron are trying to contain the Grakhon. But when the Grakhon do something unexpected, the whole plan goes out the window.
There will be no reprieve. No respite. The Grakhon have come for one thing, and they will not stop until they are finished. The time has come for kings to meet their destiny, soldiers to meet their doom, and a corrupt civilization to fight to the bitter end.
Excelsior (#7)
Ever upward…
There is nowhere to go from here but up. At least, that’s what you’re told to believe when everything falls apart.
Ceron is a wasteland, corrupted by the Grakhon. Abi is among the Chosen, a group of humans tampered with by their new overlords. She and the rest of her kind are being tested. But what for?
The dust has had time to settle. Now it’s ready to be shaken up again. Those who are lost will be found, monarchs shall ascend the throne, and the dead shall rise. And ever upward they aim to climb…
Sans Voir (#8)
You cannot fight what you cannot see…
The remnants of the Conglomerate have struggled just to get here. Surviving is the only goal now. And as always, there is no agreement among them. Even after the end of civilization they still fight one another.
Jerald is trying to bridge the gap. The members of the Comglomerate all want the same thing: to survive. And he’s willing to broker a peace even if it’s under the nose of his superiors. Meanwhile, his uncle’s cryptic babblings may have more meaning than previously thought.
The walls are closing in. The Grakhon’s hold on them only gets tighter. Gods will speak, sacrifices will be made, and the heroes of humanity will return to the place that this all began.
Adjournment (#9)
All will be erased…
There is nowhere left to hide. The Conglomerate has been squeezed into a corner. When once they fought the Grakhon as enemies of war, now they scatter like mice. All that they can hope to muster in this bleak, final hour is to survive.
Karis has been thrust into leadership, commanding the Intrepid in Jerald’s absence. There is a talk of an escape to Thras, the long lost homeworld of humanity. But Admiral Redder has her own ideas for the fleet, and Karis feels the pressure to comply. And while all of that is playing out, Eben and Abi must fight an enemy that should have stayed dead.
This is humanity’s last chance. After this there is no coming back. Demons will be slain, leaders will fall from grace, and mankind will pass through a threshold of unknown possibilities. But when it’s all said and done, only one side can win.
