Overview: She lived her life, looking through a microscope, cataloging data, making sure the hydroponics lab still functioned enough to provide food to the crew of the Aria, moving from her tiny quarters to the tiny botany lab and back. The only place she saw color and vibrancy, was through the eyepieces of the microscope. She didn’t have the classification or clearance to leave the dying ship to visit any of the planets they might come into range of, didn’t have any future beyond the routine. She wished for adventure. Wished for more.
Funny, when she got her wish, she hadn’t expected it to come in the form of aliens.
The ship being attacked by the Na’ah was so primitive in it’s design, he was fascinated by how it had survived the harsh vacuum of space for the duration of time it had taken to launch it. The species was unfamiliar to him, but the initial scans suggested that the beings within here somewhat intelligent. He had doubted it, when he’d hailed the singular little craft, hilariously imitating an escape pod, and seen the frightened faces of the soft looking creatures huddled inside. As it was his duty to eradicate the Na’ah wherever opportunity had presented, he had questioned the small, delicate creatures, rather, he had intended to. But the moment they had stepped off their little ship, one scent, one look, and he was Claimed.
