Overview: Aspiring novelist Gwen Walden wants out of her job at a sleazy tabloid magazine so she sets out to get an exclusive “expose” on reclusive author Joshua Denning who has eluded the media for more than a decade – since he wrote the Pulitzer Prize-winning best-seller that shook the publishing world. Angry but unwilling to lose her Denning takes on the challenge of turning her into the respected writer she wants to be. As a teacher his methods are firm and uncompromising and Gwen soon learns that his promise to “whip her into shape” is no exaggeration.
