As Maia reluctantly starts her investigation, she becomes entangled in the island’s complicated political groups, which include a climbing cult devoted to Hanuman the Monkey God and a bunch of hairy ReWilders dedicated to the Holy Earth Mother. Oh yeah, there’s also a really cute dude name Rene who’s promising to be distracting.
