Ryan Harris is forced to change schools when her step-dad accepts a job two hours away from her home town of Kansas City. In KC everyone knows that Ryan is the daughter of starting pitcher for the KC Critters Tyler Yates. Now that Ryan is in Temple she decided to keep her famous dad to herself and make her way through high school the same as every other teenage girl. What Ryan was not prepared for was Bradley Cooper.
Brad Cooper is the starting pitcher for Temple High and the reining king of the school, who has lost his pitching edge. On the first day of school he sees the nerdy new girl walking down the “elite” hallway and takes his bad mood out on her. Brad lets Ryan know that he does not like little upstarts with a bad attitude. From that day Brad has made it his mission to mess with Ryan.
Ryan wants nothing more than for Brad to just go away and leave her alone. Ryan sees a way to get Brad to leave her alone by helping him get his pitching mojo back and she takes it.
After Ryan helps Brad when no one else would or could all he wants is to get closer to her. Brad needs to show Ryan that he is really a good guy and that he is truly sorry for ever bullying her.
