Darren Karofski is getting bored with his time in Ruins of Rimnir, the video game that launched a career and a life for the poor kid from the DC suburbs. The alchemist transformed the MMORPG with his World Perk, but now, he is looking for something fresh and new to make his time in game fun again. So when his best friend, Jay Sinclair, discovers the loot dropped by Rimnir’s legendary dragon, Milanthrope, the two set off of an epic adventure to take the beast down.
Along the way they collect a new friend and guide to help them on their journey. Meet Rynn, a rogue with a charismatic, devil may care attitude and skills with a dagger that are unmatched. With the powerful player at their side, Darren and Jay begin making their way up Desert Pass. Their eyes are on the prize: the platinum chest guarded by one of the toughest creatures in the game.
But none of them know the dangers that lay in the path before them… or the deadly force that is lurking in the shadows behind them…
Will the party make their way to the feet of the dragon? Or will they succumb to the murderous advances of Dragonkin, spiders, lost souls, and even the blades of other players?

Aligned with the deadly Mercenary Clan and its mysterious, leering leader, Kari travels across the continent of Rimnir, seeking to kill those who do others wrong. Debts are paid with blood. Murders are avenged. Life is lost.
But when Kari is given a new assignment, it shakes her to her core. She must seek out a player carrying a very powerful World Perk and deliver the player to the highest bidder.
Kari must come to terms with her role in Rimnir and the blood that has been shed against her twin daggers.
Will she follow through with her binding contract and murder innocents? Or will she buck against one of the most powerful players in Rimnir and make him her enemy?
