Overview: Ian Somers is an Irish author, most noted for his Ross Bentley YA novels. His first novel, Million Dollar Gift, was published by O’Brien Press in 2012. The award winning sequel, The Hidden Gift, was released less than a year later. The final book in the trilogy is scheduled for released later this year.

1. The Million Dollar Gift
Ross Bentley is a skateboarding slacker, who has hardly any real friends, communicates with his father by grunting and hates his job in the local supermarket. Ross also has the gift of telekinesis but has always kept it hidden, even from those closest to him. That all changes when he learns of The Million Dollar Gift, a contest in which the organisers have challenged anyone to prove they have a superhuman skill. Any applicant who is successful will receive one million dollars prize money.
Ross can’t let this opportunity go by and enters the contest. He stuns the organisers by passing every test and wins the prize money. All does not go according to plan though; Ross’s identity was supposed to be kept secret but when his test videos are leaked onto the internet he becomes a sensation.
Within twenty four hours the entire world knows his name and what he can do. But fame is not all he has to deal with. He has attracted the attentions of others who have the gift, and not all of them are happy about his arrival on the scene.
2. The Hidden Gift
A sequel to ‘Million Dollar Gift’. A search for a missing child and the dangers it uncovers takes Ross Bentley to the darkest place he’s ever been. He must face danger and great grief and learn to harness his powers to face down his greatest nemesis yet.
3. The Secret Gift
Ross has spent the past twelve months in hiding in the west coast of Ireland. He has turned his back on the Guild and his gifts. In trying to escape his past and the dangers brought with his gifts, Ross has spiralled into a world of anxiety and depression and, with Cathy leaving for Paris, Ross is completely alone.
Suddenly an unexpected visitor arrives. Hunter has come to call in his favour. Through loneliness and a sense of debt, Ross agrees to join Hunter for one day only. What first appears to be a simple task becomes so much more. Ross is dragged back into the world of the gifted where a supernatural war is about to break loose. Ross must choose which side to fight on. Will he turn his back on the Guild forever? Or will he fight to save the Guild members who have kept so much from him?
