As the rumbles of war between Weard and the combined councils of dragon princes and Fae grow louder, Mathias and I must find the pieces to the Crown of Nimrod hidden somewhere in the Seven Wonders of the World. Time is short but it’s not only ancient traps between us and the crown. I need to find a way to control my burgeoning Jinn talent. Otherwise even a Ten might not be enough to get me out of this alive.

The weapon is lost and Mathias is gone. Somehow I have to save him and the world. I made a deadly mistake. Now both the Crown of Nimrod, an ancient weapon Spotters use to alter numbers, and Mathias are in enemy hands. Mathias is the only Ten in existence but there’s no guarantee that Weard will keep him alive. I managed to slow Weard’s plans down a little by stealing the Sapphire of Shinar which powers the crown’s full ability but now I have a deadline. I have one week to return the sapphire to Weard or let Mathias die. I have one chance to make this right. I must find a way to gather allies among the dragon princes and Fae but I must also reach out to my father’s kin, the Jinn. My path is set from Petra to Weard headquarters in Chicago. I don’t know if we can win this time. But one thing is for certain, when I reach Chicago, the man calling himself the Nephilim is going to find out what happens when you try to separate a half-Jinn Spotter from her Ten.
