#1. Less than zero
When reporter Ben Warren gains an unprecedented interview with Air Marshall, Chauer Denz, former commander of the disgraced gunship, RNO Bristol, and now a ranking officer of the notoriously secretive Royal Navy Orbital’s, Ministry of intelligence. He expects little more than the usual bureaucratic short answers and misdirection, but he is astonished when he gains unparalleled access and blow by blow accounts to some of the ministries darkest secrets, such as:
Denz’s involvement in the failure of the RNO to repulse the Koll annex of Britannia’s Devon colony, which saw thousands dead and the loss of the planet.
The truth behind the devastating Koll invasion of Chinese space at LN-0R, which led to the single greatest military encounter in human history, and opened the door for the Koll advance on the SOL system.
What happened to Denz and the Bristol following the Koll incursion into Earth space where five thousand Koll warships faced off against the combined might of the Earth Defence Pact forces, in what would be the final battle for human existence.
The inability of the EDP to stem the growing threat from bandit raiders, who have expanded from the trade lanes into the solar system and are attacking at will.

#2. Penance
Newly rebuilt and now larger and more powerful than ever, the disgraced Royal Navy Orbital gunboat, RNO Bristol is sent on a seemingly mundane mission to the rim territories where a series of mysteries present themselves. An unlikely assailant has kidnapped a political figure in seemingly impossible circumstances, and the Bristol investigates only to encounter creatures neither of this time nor this universe. Creatures that make even the mighty Koll pale in comparison. She then falls into a deadly trap and is hurled light years from home waters to fend off overwhelming odds in impossible circumstances, which culminate in a near universe ending scenario. The discovery of a secret communications device only deepens the mystery and with unknown murderers picking off the crew, her command staff going mad and every system failing, things go from bad to worse when she ventures to a hell even the Koll avoid.
At 80k words, Penance is the second in the RN: series of five books based on the trials and adventures of the Royal Navy Orbital gunboat, RNO Bristol. If you prefer a spin on traditional military science fiction with murders, madness, monsters and hull shattering engagements then this is for you.
