Overview: Carlos Rodriguez was in love with his best friend. She was amazing and beautiful and very strictly his best friend. When he entered the magic shop across the street from his favorite cafe, he was hoping for advice on love more than anything else. He was not expecting the aloof if cute and very much male shop owner to insult him, call him an idiot, and then sell him some kind of talisman with the promise that it would lead him to love.
As the days go by, Carlos finds himself back in the shop of one Hartford Price more and more. As Hartford starts to let his walls down, Carlos finds they have more in common than he had first imagined. The man is a bit odd, with his pet rats and dedication to the shop and its wares but Carlos finds himself liking him more and more as the days go by.
Perhaps there was something more to that talisman than Carlos has first assumed? Perhaps it will lead him in the right direction.
