Overview: New York 2028 – Tyrannical Mayor Gerald Copeland is midway through his second term in office. Since being re-elected, Copeland has deported illegal immigrants, suspended gay marriage licenses and defended controversial police shootings. Copeland has also started forcing prison parolees to have artificial pacemakers fitted, which fatally shock their hearts if they leave the city limits once released.
However, when four pacemaker parolees violently escape from a prison-barge while recovering from their surgeries, homicide detective Justin “Just” Harris is forced to hunt them down. With only a few clues to the escapees whereabouts, Just must battle through the hardest night of his life, as a mysterious former burglar tries to interject herself into the situation.
