Overview: After years of sacrifice, Levy’s finally ready to become a traveler and start leveling. A dungeon marks his initial challenge with a great reward offered to those who complete it. If only Levy had a group. The other travelers must sweat gold drops because they’re covered in equipment that no level 1 could possibly acquire without having more coin than fat in a pig. Rather than invites, all Levy earns from them are snide remarks about his enchanting specialization and laughs at the old cinch keeping up his threadbare pants.
Levy won’t let anything stop him, even if he has to be the first enchanter to complete the initial dungeon without a group. What he doesn’t know, however, is that war is coming, and Levy did not anticipate having to fight against other travelers on his journey to reach max level. As many soon give up on leveling to keep themselves out of harm’s way, Levy finds some are still as dedicated as he is to progressing. They must learn everything they can not only about their enemies but about the system of mana that seems to want all mankind to be destroyed…and may even have something to do with the burgeoning war.
