Overview: A half century into the future, humanity experienced our greatest cataclysm. The Datanet and every computer ever connected to it were wiped clean in an instant. War, famine, and disease followed. This was called the Reformat. Two decades later, the computers inexplicably restarted, and we found ourselves living in comparative paradise.
Trouble can be found even in paradise, however.
Jim Longboat knows that trouble all too well. To find his brother’s killer, he takes a contract to fly across the solar system to a space station that shouldn’t exist. When Jim arrives, all that’s waiting for him is a strange girl, named Nancy, who’s never before met another human being.
Tyehimba Adebayo knows trouble as well. A terrifying cyborg offers him a chance to stay out of prison: capture a woman who never speaks. When the job goes wrong, the former soldier finds himself at the mercy of a psychopath who is convinced some otherworldly being is out to kill her.
