Afternoon Tea and a Murder Mystery (#2)
Rory and Daisy find themselves in the middle of yet another murder investigation when a woman is found dead at Serenity By the Seas, the bed and breakfast they are staying at. Hummingbird Hollow may not have been the best place to go for rest and relaxation. Rory and Daisy decide to use their sleuthing skills to investigate the untimely death.
Before they are able to begin their search, two familiar faces from Redbury Junction arrive. Detective Reinfeld and his newly deputized partner, Sheila had been called to solve the murder in Hummingbird Hollow by the town’s Mayor.
Once the four are reunited, they set about searching for clues and begin investigating those in the town and staying at the bed and breakfast as guests or staff members.
Solving the case becomes harder than expected when the four investigating the murder stumble across a secret Hummingbird Hollow and its residents have kept hidden for twenty years. Could these new findings help solve the murder investigation? Is it worth revealing the new findings if it could cause the lives of others to be put at risk? The wrong decision may result in a deadly outcome.
Unchained Murder (#3)
When the employees of Redbury Junction’s jewelry store, Rings and Gorgeous Things arrive at work they never expected to find a dead woman lying in the showroom. The situation worsens when the staff realize they know the deceased. She had been in the jewelry store the prior day berating one of the saleswoman and caused a commotion in the store. Gemma Garnett, owner of Rings and Gorgeous Things is positive her employees are innocent. Her faith begins to waver when the employees start to exhibit suspicious behavior and give contradictory responses when questioned.
Detective Reinfeld is joined by Detective Dentity to work together to solve the crime and find the killer. When evidence points to the employees at Rings and Gorgeous Things, Detective Dentity provides statements from Cassandra’s friends which may prove pertinent to the murder case. The two Detectives have their work cut out for them with this case.
First and foremost Detective Reinfeld and Detective Dentity need to figure out how the killer gained access to the store leaving no signs of tampering with the locks on the door. Next, they need to discern which individual hated the deceased enough to be willing to end her life.
A Cruise to Nowhere (#4)
Adrift in an endless sapphire sea Detective Reinfeld, Deputy Sheila, Rory, and Daisy find themselves onboard The Empress cruise ship with a killer. After 2 passengers are found dead the group offers to help investigate only to be told by First Mate Coral, the ship’s head of security, their help is not needed. First Mate Coral believes he has enough evidence to arrest the guilty party. He believes Daisy Greene to be the murderer. Despite the insistence from Detective Reinfeld, Deputy Sheila, and Rory trying to reassure First Mate Coral of Daisy’s innocence, he refuses to budge on the matter. When Detective Reinfeld finds that Daisy’s statement on the murders is lacking in substance he insists that First Mate Coral delve further into the case. Once Detective Reinfeld joins First Mate Coral during the interviews, the two manage to form a professional bond allowing them to look at the murders from different angles. However, Detective Reinfeld feels First Mate Coral is biased towards Daisy being guilty. He knows it will be up to Deputy Sheila, Rory, and him to start their own investigation. Can they find out what really happened to cause the deaths of the two passengers? Can they find physical evidence to present to First Mate Coral so he is convinced Daisy is innocent? With a ship full of people, the killer might be right in front of their faces. As far as the trio believes, anyone can be the murderer. Can Detective Reinfeld, Deputy Sheila, and Rory solve the case before the killer strikes again? Will Daisy end up spending the rest of the cruise in the brig? It is a race against time as each day of the cruise passes, and the ship heads home allowing the killer to escape, their crimes unpunished.
