Fred never got over his love for Jonathan, and now lives a carefully constructed, solitary life of routine – until Jonathan, now 27, widowed with a Downs Syndrome son, re-emerges into Fred’s life, awakening unresolved wounds. ‘Reasons of the Heart’ is a diary of the next couple of months of Fred’s life, moving back and forward from present to past, re-living Fred’s unorthodox childhood and his relationship with the beautiful Jonathan.
