Kyle’s plan for redemption is quickly derailed, and seems untenable when their two boys disappear into the Appalachians. Tragic events follow the disappearance of their boys that threatens his life, and Nicki’s life. Explosive events that leave Nicki crestfallen and inconsolable.
Kyle’s motto is ‘Every day is just a roll of the dice’ and there’s nothing he won’t do to find his kids. And he did. And when the dust settled, he wished he had chosen a different course of action because trading two wrongs to right a wrong doesn’t necessarily bring your kids back in the same condition they left—if at all. Raven’s Peak isn’t a commanding story unless one can assimilate why the boys were taken, by whom, the condition they were returned, the fallout, and of-course—the retribution.
