The Enemy (#9)
A naval base in danger of falling to the enemy. Ports where an unknown army is offloaded. Pursued by a local militia. Hunted by a foreign power’s special forces. With the discovery of who the real enemy is, The Unit finds itself trapped between multiple forces with no way out.
Now that The Unit has determined who the enemy is they begin to plan an assault but with their small force scattered an attack would be suicidal at best. The team’s only hope is to slow the foreign army and prevent it from spreading across the mainland.
The task is hindered when their presence is discovered and forces are sent to intercept them. To survive they must rely on speed, execution, experience, and training.
As they devise a plan, they become aware that a fleet of freighters are inbound each carrying more enemy soldiers and equipment. If The Unit is to survive and prevent the invasion of America, a decisive strike must be achieved before they are trapped and overwhelmed.

An invading army. Fighting on American streets. A sinister and deadly plot to seize the country and the Unit is the only force standing in their path.
With the invasion of America beginning Weatherman and the Unit position to do what damage they can to slow the enemy force but with so few, stopping an entire army is beyond hope. Still, they will not stand by and allow the landing to go unchallenged.
To have a chance, Weatherman utilizes the strengths of the Unit, their individual skills, and their dedication to country and each other. Quick and deadly precision attacks striking like the Minutemen of old, they keep the enemy force bottled up, but with ammunition running low and more troops landing, reality erodes determination.
Unable to hold the enemy back, their only hope for success lies miles away where Money tries to convince the last American military base that America is not only under attack from within, it is being invaded. Without their assistance, America will fall. As the futility of their situation becomes increasingly apparent, Weatherman must decide whether to stand knowing it is certain death for them all or retreat, regroup, and fight again. Whatever his decision, time is running out for them and the country.

As the battle for America begins a small group of former military personnel join forces to prevent an invasion by foreign powers. Though determined, the numbers are too great to stand against for long. As more enemy troops land The Unit is forced to retreat.
However, in historic minuteman fashion, they create havoc wherever they can destroying ships, equipment, and supplies. Their quick and precise strikes keep the invaders bottled up and unable to move their plans forward.
An enemy special forces team is dispatched to track and eliminate The Unit. Now, separated and on the run, the members must find a way to escape, survive, and regroup, but that is not as easy to do when you’re hunted.
