Baking and Entering (#1)
One red shoe…
Can ruin your whole day.
Forty-something, Maggie Sharpe, has returned to her quaint, childhood town of Dogwood Mountain, Missouri, nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. She recently inherited Dogwood Donuts, along with a cute little cottage, from her Aunt Marjorie and she is ready to keep the business running and settle into a new, peaceful life.
Maggie throws herself into running the bakery, but the baking grinds to a halt when a body is discovered in the alley behind her new shop and a whole host of small town secrets surface as a result of the investigation.
With the police on her door step every time she turns around, she’s thrown into an even bigger mess than the glaze on her favorite donut when an important clue is found in the worst possible place… her donut shop.
Can Maggie solve the crime to save her reputation and her new business?
A Filling Account (#2)
Sometimes chasing down memories…
Can lead to murder.
Dogwood Donuts owner, Maggie Sharpe, is busy preparing for the introduction of a new lunch feature at her shop. To clear her mind after long hours at work, she takes walks around the neighborhood and her route takes her by the old house on the hill that used to belong to her aunt.
It seems someone is doing renovations and Maggie becomes curious about the new owner. When curiosity makes her take a closer look, the disgruntled owner makes it abundantly clear that she’s not welcome.
A suspicious incident happens at the house, a body is discovered, and all fingers seem to be pointing at Maggie. Long lost friends and relatives come out of the woodwork when Maggie tries to get to the bottom of the tragedy and she quickly finds out that people are not at all who they seem to be in this small town.
Can she solve the crime and save the day?
Rough and Crumble (#3)
Looks can be deceiving…
When an accident is actually a murder.
Amateur sleuth and proud owner of Dogwood Donuts, Maggie Sharpe, was gearing up for the holidays and having just another normal day in charming southern Missouri, when an unfortunate accident occurred in front of her shop in the wee hours of the morning. When a bus full of elderly potential witnesses on their way to a Christmas event puts out a distress call, Maggie feels obligated to find some answers.
She discovers that what she thought was an accident was actually a murder, which makes things anything but jolly in Dogwood Mountain. Maggie dives right into investigating the strange event and just when she’s certain that she’s found all the answers she’d been looking for, information is uncovered that might just lead back to someone whom she’s invited into her life and her shop.
Dealing with a crime that hits way too close to home, especially during the holidays, wasn’t at all what Maggie had expected, but she’s determined to see it through so that she can enjoy the season and get back to making her Brownie Crumble donuts.
Will she solve the crime and save the day before it’s too late?
