Overview: In November 2022, the groundbreaking full-immersion VRMMORPG Sword Art Online (SAO) was launched.
A young French gamer, Chris, along with his companions Luckau, Koharu, and Kirito, eagerly joined this virtual realm. However, they soon discovered a harrowing truth: the developers had ensnared all the players within the game. Their only escape was to conquer all 100 levels designed by the creators. Amidst this turmoil, Luckau, a developer who felt betrayed by his peers, assembled a small team. This team included Chris, his closest ally, who struggled with personal demons; Koharu and Asuna, who sought to overcome their limits; Kirito, who aimed to conquer his fears and aid his friends; and Mito, who was driven to atone for a grave error.
Together, they formed the inaugural EIS Squad (Exploration.Investigation.Squad). Their mission was perilous yet clear: to liberate their fellow players, one treacherous level at a time. The danger was ever-present, particularly as their adversary was intimately familiar with two members of the squad. Their journey was further complicated by encounters with trapped family members in this lethal game.
