1. Protocol – The world is going to hell around them. What are they willing to risk to make it right? What if they fall in love along the way?
A massacre by a telepath sets off a powder keg in the volatile human system. With the trial of the telepath approaching, humans’ fear of outsiders threatens to boil over.
Private Sadie Wydell, fresh from training, is plunged into a maelstrom of political suspicion when she’s picked to be the personal assistant to one of those outsiders: her alien commander. Despite his being under suspicion for his willingness to testify in the telepath’s defense, Sadie develops an all-consuming crush on him.
Commander Serrah is the only non-human in the human military, and he was never one to stick around in any single system. He’s determined to testify in defense of the telepath on trial, despite the military higher-ups having opened up an investigation into him for doing so. With his every move monitored, scrutinized, and dissected for its potential to be used against him, Serrah must stick to protocol to make it through the trial and investigation. Then he will move on to the next system.
This three-month long flight to testify at the telepath’s trial is a minefield for both Sadie and Serrah, and a single misstep may cost Sadie her future and Serrah his life.

2. Questioning – Undercover and under stress. What can she do when an alien stowaway is discovered in town? How much is she willing to sacrifice to do the right thing?
Sadie Wydell has one mission: Get her alien lover out of the human system before the government can kill him. Undercover in a small fishing town, she and Serrah wait for the all-clear to rejoin the rebellion. The discovery of another alien in the town threatens this mission, however, as violence and suspicion erupt.
Struggling with doing good in a world gone horribly wrong, Sadie must face her feelings for Serrah while sticking to her principles. But where will doing so lead her?
A rebel and her traumatized alien lover battle prejudice and their own demons to find each other. Menacing forces are eager to tear them apart and destroy them in the process.

3. Commitment – She remembers his embrace. She remembers her family. She doesn’t remember being a terrorist.
Memories scrambled and captured by the isolationists, Sadie Wydell is certain about two things: that she was loved and that what she’s doing is right. Her resolve is tested, however, as she’s put on trial for her relationship with the alien, Serrah. Secluded from the news, Sadie doesn’t know that the Resalian war fleet is swiftly approaching.
On the eve of war, caught between opposing factions, Sadie and Serrah must confront their allies and loved ones to do the right thing. Can they find each other in the process
