Prince of Wolves by Preston Walker (Mountain Pack Chronicles Book 2)
Requirements: .ePUB Reader | 354 kb
Overview: Josey has never known his birth father. All he knows about him is that he’s a shifter who knocked his mom up and then abandoned her. His mother wanted to keep it that way, and he respected her wishes; Bey is a private sort of person, even from her favorite husband and only son. Fortunately, Josey has three awesome stepfathers who have kept him from feeling any kind of deprivation over the years. Because of that, Josey has never bothered to look into his genetic history too terribly far. He loved his life, he loved his family; why mess with perfection?
That attitude served him well for twenty-two years; but everything changes the night he takes his brother Billy to Reno to celebrate his 21st birthday. A mysterious stranger corners Josey to tell him that it is vital that he accompany the stranger back to his house. He tells Josey that he is a prince of wolves, and that his people need him.
Josey, understandably unconvinced and more than a little annoyed, refuses to go; that is, until the stranger threatens his brother. Even then, Josey isn’t willing to go without a fight. The stranger has other ideas. Josey finds himself drugged and paralyzed, trapped in a stranger’s car on a road to god knows where.
Josey comes to in a cramped cage made of bars that burn his skin. Beside him, a small, younger-looking man is in a similar predicament. Problem is, the boy doesn’t seem to care. Nor is he very forthcoming about where they are or why they’re there. Josey has to learn the ropes quickly in order to survive; but to stay alive, he must first uncover the secrets held within those mysterious walls. Secrets about himself, and, more enticingly, secrets about his mysterious cellmate.
The stranger is intent on crowning Josey as his heir. Josey is intent on getting home in one piece. Stephan, his secretive and strangely vulnerable cellmate, is intent on remaining invisible. The pieces had begun to fall into place long before Josey ever arrived. Will he be able to turn the tables on his captors? Or will Josey be forced to take his place as the Prince of Wolves?
