Overview: Presence: The Marked is a story that explores the iconic roles of warriors, magicians, archers, and thieves in a futuristic setting. The story opens up two years after the fall of a hacker group known as Wonderland. A former member, Abigail “Abbie” Stone begins a relationship with a younger thrill-seeking woman named Kat to escape the horrors of her past. However, unknown to Abbie, Kat has secrets of her own that thrust them both into the middle of a secret war between thieves and mages.
Kat is a member of an ancient organization known as the Thieves’ Guild which operates on a global scale utilizing ancient teachings and advanced technology to protect the common man from both supernatural and domestic threats. After accidentally exposing her true nature to Abbie while defending her, Kat attempts to remove Abbie’s memories of the event only for her methods to be mysteriously rendered ineffective. Left with no choice, Kat and her allies take it upon themselves to keep Abbie safe from any who would wish her harm due to her knowledge. However, Abbie is far from helpless and with her past experience in Wonderland she is able to aid the Thieves in their jobs, beginning her transformation into an international criminal who becomes integral to this team of futuristic Robin Hoods.
