Mission 6: Warped Conduit
Just when Captain Don Harr and the crew of The SSMC Reluctant think that they are free and clear of military rule, a group of self-proclaimed uber-intelligent beings who call themselves The Overseers show up.
The Overseers, like most anyone who gets to the top of the ladder, want to make certain that no upstart can ever challenge their position. Thus, anyone who is deemed a threat dies. But a new political group has had it with all the butchery, so the ruling class has to try a new angle. To this end, they conscript the members of Platoon F into service and set them on a sabotage mission against a planet called Kallian, which is on the brink of discovering warp technology.
If the Kallian scientists fail, all will be well; but if they succeed, Kallian will have to be destroyed … and so will the crew of Platoon F.
Mission 7: Kidnap on Fantasy Planet
An urgent message comes in from Fantasy Planet. It seems that Platoon F’s previous commanding officer, Stanley Parfait, has been kidnapped! The message reads that if the group of ruffians doesn’t get their demands met, they’ll kill the man. To make matters worse, it turns out that Lord Overseer Veli is rather angry to hear of Platoon F’s visits to Fantasy Planet, and he wants them off of the world immediately!
Mission 8: Veli Unveiled
Platoon F finds themselves thrown into a system that’s filled with a gigantic space armada. Their mission is to convince the leadership of this huge fleet to cease their technological advancement. The SSMC Reluctant is no match for such a mass of ships, which means they have to be exceedingly careful at how they approach matters.
But there’s more to this mission than Lord Overseer Veli has been unveiled, and his nefarious plans may finally spell the end of Platoon F!
Mission 9: The Search for Veli
Veli is on the run.
Harr works with the team on Fantasy Planet, the crew of the Little Ship, and his team of metallic minds to hunt down Veli so they can take him out before he can enact his nefarious plans. Decisions will be made along the way that no single person should ever be forced to make. Life and death are sitting at the feet of Captain Harr and, like it or not, he has to step on them both if he is to save the universe from Veli’s tyranny.
To make matters worse, the interim Lord Overseer in Overseer Land has gotten designs on ruling with the same iron fist as her predecessor. Unbeknownst to Platoon F, their mission may be just what she needs to rule without fear of competition.
