Overview: Following the discovery of quantum teleportation halfway through the 21st century, human technology grew to enable the colonization of the Solar System. The Andalusian company responsible for the discovery and industrialization of the derivative technology, Solar Innovations (S.I.), exploits a monopoly on interplanetary travel. They also pull the threads of an absolutist control of the different political bodies and law forces managing the human settlements built throughout the Solar System.
The religion of Virtue has helped reduce crime to an almost derisory historical minimum, the Earthian territorial associations (led by the Mediterranean Union) differ in their policies and regimes from those of the 20th century. Airball, a new sport facilitated by S.I.’s gravitational control is king – a mix between handball and rugby played in a sphere in the absence of gravity-; the colonists identify with their planets / settlements of origin, and thus nationalisms and political unrest are on the rise. Despite what might be said in the black markets, and some disturbing information available on the dark quantum Internet, everything seems to be following a smooth and Harmonious course towards a promising future. This is, unless you start asking too many questions trying to understand what is really happening, what if there is more than meets the eye?
On the Titan colony, a man is devastated after the disappearance of his wife. She worked for S.I. on materials found in the mining works of the colony. Most of the research was confidential.One day, Antonio was summoned just to identify her corpse, and to collect a large check in return, on top of condolences and the thanking for his late wife’s work for the common good (the Global Harmony), the advancement of humanity. But that’s not good enough. The event has turned him into a living dead, and he’ll go all the way to dig the truth out.
In the process, Antonio will soon understand that this goes beyond his case, and that his wife opened the door to a parallel world and to all the creatures that inhabit it.
