Overview: When I was a kid, I was torn between whether or not I was going to grow up and be the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman. I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn’t up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer — although I had no idea the effort that would entail.

Whispering (#2) Things are going from bad to worse for Zoe Lake. Actually, if there’s something beyond worse – she’s pretty sure that’s the world she’s living in these days. Between threats from hometown werewolves, visits from sarcastic ghosts and the eternal struggle of what shoes to wear to a party, Zoe can’t fit much more on her plate. Covenant College was supposed to be a new beginning. Instead, it’s becoming a frightening ending for a series of girls that have gone missing during the winter semester. The problem is, there are so many monsters on the Covenant College campus, narrowing down the suspect list seems like an impossible feat.
Even with the help of her witchy roommate, Zoe isn’t sure where to start looking. When you add in the mysterious vampire that comes and goes as he pleases and the territorial werewolf that keeps showing up at the worst time imaginable, this semester at Covenant College is exactly the opposite of what Zoe expected – and more importantly, wanted. Of course, things can always get worse. As the disappearances multiply, and more information about Zoe’s true nature comes to light, the true test for Zoe might be whether or not she can survive until summer vacation.
Conjuring (#3) Sophomore year is here and Zoe Lake has a new outlook on life: No more drama, no more angst, and no more near-death experiences. After a lazy summer, where the only thing to get her blood pumping was resident lothario werewolf Aric Winters, Zoe returns to Covenant College with three new roommates and a few old distractions. Despite an uneasy entry into this new world, Zoe manages to bond with new roommate, Kelsey, and tolerate the boy crazy Matilda. That’s when Laura – the roommate that was supposed to be the easiest to get along with – develops a jealous attitude and a secret agenda.
Before she even realizes what’s happening, Zoe is thrust into another dangerous supernatural situation – and Laura is at the center of it. When Matilda and Laura join a witch sorority, Zoe finds herself scrambling against time to extricate her easily influenced roommates before a virtual magic Armageddon descends on the campus. When you compound that with Aric’s sudden secret meetings, Brittany’s insistence on dating her ex-boyfriend and Rafael’s new romantic interest in her, Zoe realizes that a drama-free life may not be in the cards for her. That’s all on top of Zoe’s own powers – which continue to grow and draw interest from the campus monster hunters and supernatural factions. When the showdown finally comes, and all the factions are revealed, someone big will die. The question is: By whose hand?
Waxing & Waning (#4) Zoe Lake is depressed. Well, at least that’s what everyone keeps telling her. As she enters her junior year, she feels more numb than anything else. Between the guilt plaguing her over her former roommate’s death, and the betrayal crushing her heart thanks to her ex-boyfriend Aric, Zoe is struggling to make sense of her world. She makes a pledge to move forward, and she’s even entertaining the idea of letting the friendly neighborhood vampire make a play for her heart. Something just doesn’t feel right, though.
Zoe finally agrees to join the Covenant College monster hunters, and enlists in the Academy. The problem is, she doesn’t trust them any more than she trusts the monsters they purport to hunt. Her roommates, Paris and Kelsey, are worried. They want to help, but they’re not sure they’re capable of fixing what’s broken. Only one person can do that, and Zoe no longer trusts Aric to fix anything. Between Aric’s new girlfriend, Rafael’s peculiar brand of courting, and the growing sense of dread spreading across the campus, Zoe has her hands full. When things start to come into focus, Zoe has a decision to make: Either she’s going to commit to being a full-fledged member of the Academy, or she’s finally going to accept that she’s actually one of the monsters they’re hunting. In the end, Zoe will have no choice but to follow her heart – wherever it may lead.
Graduating (#5) Look out world, here she comes. Zoe Lake has been through everything: Chatty ghosts, murderous sphinxes, crazy covens – and even a broken heart. Somehow, though, she’s survived. Senior year is finally here, and Zoe is ready to move forward. She and her werewolf boyfriend Aric are back on solid ground, and Zoe is ready to finish what she started – both academically and personally.
The Academy is still in operation, but their leadership is listless and Zoe is steering clear. She has new roommates, and new drama, but all Zoe is focused on is getting out of Covenant College alive. When a human tableau of bodies appears on campus, and Zoe becomes a suspect, things shift … again. Aric is working hard to keep her safe, and roommates Kelsey and Paris are (as always) along for the ride. All the usual suspects are in play … but the stakes are higher than ever. When the final showdown comes, everyone has to pick a side. The ultimate battle for Covenant College is about to begin – and neither army is looking to take prisoners. When the end comes, who will be left standing?
