Overview: A player’s brutal rampage enlightens Lucas to the fact that he has been an NPC in a game his entire life. At least now he has the same access to the game as the players.
Starting from a low level is daunting, especially for someone whose life veered from small-time arms dealing to the embarrassing realm of sales and marketing. He’ll navigate various factions trying to recruit him for their own causes. He can either be a pawn for one to protect the NPCs of Earth from monsters and players, or be a pawn for another to help start a war for the Earth to increase the planet’s standings with a galactic empire. Being told what to do, especially for free, isn’t exactly his style.
Leveraging his past experiences as an NPC, with a questionable past, is the only way he knows to tackle the horrors of his new reality. Even if it means negotiating with monsters to increase his magic stat. He’s got to do something before that player returns to have more fun on the innocence around him.
