Overview: While working at The Company Carl endeavors to create the first Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) system, he names it Halberte and seemingly has a breakthrough when Halberte starts answering questions in a more human manner, but the consequences of this could turn out to be quite ugly when everything is not quite what it seems.
Carl is accompanied by his two co-workers and close friends on this journey. Johan who is a freakishly tall scandi, an excellent programmer and also quick to make any kind of inappropriate joke or comment he can. Jess is of a more fiery temperament and the youngest of the group, she made her fame by coding one of the first high-level poker bots which netted a decent amount of money and most importantly respect in the AI world. She’s always trying to set the other two guys up with other female coders in the office and even succeeds at one point making for quite a humorous series of events.
Our Last invention is full of quick wit and funny dialogue to compliment this the overarching story has a serious tone. Read in wonder as their entire world is changed by the last invention humanity will ever make.
