Overview: Miss Araminta is visiting a nursing home in the suburb of Madison, out of her usual area. Her mission is to present hand crocheted lap robes to ladies who want them.
As she is about to leave, a little boy (10 years old) runs out of the wooded area on the nursing home property. He is obviously frightened and runs to Miss Araminta, the only adult in sight.
The boy, Victor, grabs Miss Araminta and blurts out that he has found something ‘yucky’ in the woods on the nursing home site. Using a big flashlight, he leads her through the woods to where he had fallen over something that recent heavy rain has washed the earth away from.
Araminta shines her flashlight on it and sees it is a human skull, partially bashed in.
