Overview: At the ending of Mystic Firestorm, we left off where Prince Grandur and Arieal were lost in the Upper Maze Mountains. In the harsh world of Iclandia they are taken prisoner by Darkmage Valendor to stand treason against the Kingdom. They believe Prince Grandur is Prince Alec of Iclandia.
Meanwhile, Noleann finds herself lost and rescued by the Nomad Quaid who is being hunted down by the Darkmages to stand trial in Iclandia for treason. The Bounty Huntress finds out they have his family and are being held captive.
Dayven, Bellower and Brea find the ancient treasure of the Rockdwellers. After the Gnomes are destroyed the huge lumbering creatures set them free. One of the surviving Gnomes tells Dayven that a Mystic Allenor is traveling toward the Snap and that there is unrest in the region between Dwarves and Gnomes. Brea and Dayven exchange a kiss as she goes home. Brea returns home only to be saved by Splint Quill as the Crimson Seekers march forward destroying everything in their wake. She flees her home as it burns and heads for The Snap.
Allenor and his small band are hunted down in Spiral’s Keep in the Mystic Domain and the boy Jarret ends up with the broken half of the Hearthstone Sword. Jarret and Flicker battle an Ogre where the thief boy uses the blade to injure the monster. Jarret slowly begins changing. Allenor, Tullamore and Flicker barely escape with their lives as the rest of their company is killed. Allenor decides that he must lead them to safety and enter Skydark.
