Overview: When bodies wrapped in black construction plastic begin to turn up in the frozen woods near a small Wisconsin town, the residents of Bayfield begin to find their quiet life threatened. The mystery falls to Sheriff Deacon Davis, the head of the smallest and most remote county in the state. As the bodies begin to collect in the morgue, Davis slowly begins to sort out the pieces of a complicated puzzle.
Dubbed the Black Plastic Killer by the press, the murders begin to come faster. The FBI, now on the scene ignores the local law enforcement and drives their investigation in one direction while Sheriff Davis and his team quietly follow a different trail. When no crime scenes are found, Davis is forced to look under every rock and under every bush in the county. Sifting through hundreds of bits and pieces of seemingly unrelated information, he becomes obsessed with the hunt to put a real name to the Black Plastic Killer.
