Feeling more positive about the future Elizabeth’s new found happiness is soon under threat when she finds Mr. Darcy has been hiding his political ambitions from her. Annoyed by his secrecy she is hurt to discover it is not the only thing he has been keeping from her. Feeling deceived Elizabeth finds it increasing difficult to trust her husband or distinguish between their friends and their foes.
Recriminations and bitterness, murder and betrayal all feature in this emotional regency tale until the Darcy’s finally find their happy ever after.
