Overview: Drue M. Scott was born in Sarasota, Florida, but raised in several states across the U.S. The state that will always be home for him however, is Alaska. His love for the outdoors and the inspiration it provides him, regularly appear in the stories he tells. Starting as early as third grade, Drue fell in love with expressing himself through poetry. With encouragement from his teachers he was led into more exploratory writing, such as journaling, and deeper creative writing, such as fiction novels.

1. The Monster in Blackwood Forest
Deep in the Pacific Northwest lies the small town of Blackwood Forest, named after the wilderness that surrounds it. For nature-loving parents, it was the perfect place to raise their deaf daughter Jinx. With wolf-mutts in town Jax, Alpha of the Blackwood Pack, is forced to confront his suspicions that the fairies, meant to protect humans and guard the magical realms of Gaia, are possibly involved in the recent deaths. A dark stranger appears in town, who hides a secret beneath his friendly smile and thick accent. Christian, still unsure how he feels about the loss of his father, finds himself falling for the handsome traveler, causing further conflict within him. Nothing seems as it should be as tensions mount and the evil boiling beneath the façade of beauty reveals itself. But will that discovery be too late for Jinx and the rest of the Blackwood Pack to survive the darkness consuming their small town?
